In Loving Memory of Margaret Simpson (1954 – 2023)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Simpson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us on 5th June 2023. Born in 1954, Margaret lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to those around her.

Margaret was born and raised in a small village in Yorkshire, where she developed a deep connection to the countryside. Her early years were spent exploring the lush fields and meadows, a love for nature that stayed with her throughout her life. She attended the local school, where her bright mind and generous spirit quickly became evident to her teachers and classmates.

In her twenties, Margaret moved to London to pursue a career in nursing. She trained at St. Thomas’ Hospital, where she met many lifelong friends and discovered her passion for helping others. Her dedication to her patients was unwavering, and she was known for her gentle touch and reassuring words, qualities that made a significant difference in the lives of those she cared for.

Margaret married the love of her life, Peter Simpson, in 1978. Together, they built a loving home and were blessed with two children, David and Sarah. Margaret was a devoted mother, always putting her family first. She was deeply involved in her children’s lives, supporting their dreams and celebrating their successes. Her nurturing nature extended to her role as a grandmother, where she found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, sharing stories, and creating cherished memories.

Beyond her professional and family life, Margaret had a range of interests that reflected her vibrant personality. She was an avid gardener, spending countless hours tending to her flower beds and vegetable patch. Her garden was a testament to her patience and care, bursting with colour and life. Margaret was also a talented baker, famous among friends and family for her delicious cakes and pastries. Her kitchen was always filled with the comforting aroma of fresh bakes, a true symbol of her warm and welcoming nature.

Margaret’s generosity knew no bounds. She was actively involved in her local community, volunteering at the village hall and participating in numerous charitable activities. Her dedication to helping others earned her the respect and admiration of all who knew her.

Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her legacy of love, compassion, and kindness will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. Margaret’s life was a testament to the power of a gentle heart and a caring soul. She will be remembered not only for her contributions to her profession and community but for the warmth and love she shared with her family and friends.

Margaret Simpson’s spirit will live on in the hearts of her husband Peter, her children David and Sarah, her grandchildren, and all those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we say goodbye, we take comfort in the beautiful memories she created and the lasting impact of her incredible life.

Rest in peace, dear Margaret. Your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
